Exhaling with finality.It's a luxurious bath of emptiness and it relieves me.  It's so familiar to me that it's comforting.  The loneliness, the loss.  The hopelessness and unbearable sadness.  I know this, and it knows me.  I embrace the gradual weight gathering on my bones, my nerves, my heart.  The deflation of my lungs.  I remember this.  It's an old friend come with coffee, sitting on the loveseat and coiling its hands around my throat, telling me to let go.  All is silenced, even my thoughts.  I only feel and I feel it well.  Everything is nothing. Exhaling with finality.

A meal for the spider.It all fell away.   
Like a spiderweb built in a doorway, the  Broken fragments swaying  In the breeze, the threads at the mercy of  The wind.   
I've waited far too long.   
I heard the moths hitting the windowpanes and  Felt their shock.   
And for what?   
I am one of them.  Some days I hit the window,  Other days, the web.   
I should have known.   
Soon I'll be in one  Not built in a doorway.  And the bulb that coaxed me there  Will be exhausted, then  Forgotten.   
It's over now.   
The web will rot A meal for the spider.

Pinkie promise.We sat on crumbling front porches and childhoods  And dreamed away our scars, declaring we'd  Change it all.   
You swore you'd leave it all behind and  Make an existence for yourself  Where you could breathe.   
Where you could sleep unbroken by  Defective nurturing; their screams,  Breaking bottles or the rain on your cheek.   
 
You shed your marked skin and  Packed your bags, chin tipped to the sky.   
The house where you once lived now holds its breath;  
As if waiting for the new generation to make  Their great escapes.
